Experience

Heather Joy Freels is a Certified Art Therapist living and working in Las Vegas, NV. She has studied art in various forms at:

  • Baum School of Art
  • Duke University
  • NC School of the Arts
  • University of North Carolina at Greensboro
  • Regent University

For more than a decade, she has worked as a multimedia artist while running her own social media and marketing company. This experience has given her specific insight into the psychology of art and design.

She has also worked championing youth leadership programs that empower children, teens, and adults on the Autism Spectrum. She is a published author and illustrator of children’s books that aim to help neurodiverse kids better understand societal norms and to help society understand neurodiverse kids better. 

Through art therapy, Heather Joy seeks to help participants grow and heal by using  the creative process to identify blockages, increase motivation, and attain life goals.
